About

This is about me. Joanna Jenkins Higgenbottom…or Jo Higg. I am a 50ish (anytime someone adds an “ish” to an age…count up at least 4)  mother of three children, mother to two four leggeds and spouse to a wonderfully patient man. My children are ages 23, 21 and 16. We live in a small town in South Carolina called North Augusta – we describe this as “do you know Augusta GA where the Masters Golf tournament is played? We are across the river from there.”

Everyone told me to start a blog…I don’t know if it is because I complain so much or because I am so bright, witty and entertaining (well…ok…you know which one I think!) Well, here is my blog and this is me. 50ish and trying to get control of my life through diet, exercise, religion, and positive thoughts.

I always thought I would have it under control at this point in my life. But I don’t. So join me on this journey and let’s tackle these problems we face with laughter and with a sickening positive attitude. After all, this life is it…this is what we have…we might as well make the best of it.
